BATHROOM REMODEL
Scroll to bottom of page for Before photos of this bathroom. It had a single vanity, old deck tub, small shower insert, and a half wall with the toilet behind it.
See the Design gallery for a few photos of the design process Lee and I use when remodeling. We decided we'd cut out the deck tub and replace with a free standing tub. The shower insert had to go and would be replaced with a new tiled shower and we would cut the wall down to a half wall to allow for some light in the shower. We would also remove the half wall next to the toilet. We wanted a double vanity (because who wants to share a sink with their hubby? not me!). And finally, an updated color pallet! Lee drew up our ideas on his computer software and I got started on an idea board for finishes.
As you can see in the demo photo gallery, we took this bathroom down to the studs. We needed plumbing and electrical moved. And while they were in there we decided to add cable TV above the tub so Emily could watch the Today show while getting ready.
The finishes: slate gray tile on the floor, calacatta quartz countertop and curb in shower, white subway tile in the shower, light gray grout, delta trinsic faucets, white shaker cabinets. The light fixtures, toilet paper holder, drawer pulls, and two shelves are all from amazon. Paint color is Sherwin-Williams agreeable gray.
